Well, I already received 3 comments on this, but the story alas is over.

Apparently some things were said that were “not complete truths” so grinthock.com has decided to keep the legal team working on our other issues right now….

I’ll post the comments nonetheless.

Free speech and your opinion are covered under “Fair Comment” as long as you didn’t say anything illegal, this person has no grounds.  STAND UP FOR YOURSELF!

Thanks John, we plan to – although it appears this time it is a false alarm, we will continue to post quality opininated articles as we have been thus far.

This person is clearly over stepping their bounds.  Fight the good fight, we cannot allow people in this country to allow the legal system to censor and threaten our internet way of life.

Thanks George, it is our hope that congress in the USA protects the internet, all of these “tubes” need to remain un blocked…  Hopefully Canada will follow suit.

Dealing with people in a civil manner – Part 1

So recently I received a phone call from someone I know.

They were pissed because of something I wrote on my blog here on grinthock.com (and as such cross posted on facebook), instead of calling me up to ask me about it, they launched a public personal attack, and started threatening me.

Sad part? It wasn’t even ABOUT them, it was about someone totally different! So it started with this individual calling me up – screaming over the phone about how I have no idea what i’m talking about, before I even got a word in. Then, their cell phone crapped out, and they called back and accusing me of A) hanging up and B) refusing to fight with them. Like i’m even interested.

Well, I attempted to explain that it was actually not about them — but someone else… They didn’t seem to care. Here’s the best part.

Once again, legal action is being threatened against grinthock.com and it’s ownership. At the same time this individual threatened me because their partner is a police officer, and he can call the police in my local city and get me in trouble for “harassment”. Something that is quite illegal to do, so my legal team has been contacted, and they are going to contact this persons detachment, i’m sure this persons superiors will want to know about their actions and how they threaten others with their police powers.

Besides, the 1200 individual readers that check out grinthock.com every day have no idea who this person is anyway, and, it wasn’t even about them!      Read on everyone, as usual comments at grinthock.com is your place to send your comments — They are always welcome, and funny ususally!

Legal Battle Continues

grinthock.com has spoken with their counsel, and we feel that our previous comments are clearly covered under the “Fair Comment” portion of the libel and slander act.

That being said, we are awaiting the completion of some other events, and then our plan is to launch a legal action.

Grinthock.com does not appriciate attempts to sensor free speech, and will fight these attempts vigorously… However, we will give it some time. It’s never good to give away all your tactics, we have all seen enough James Bond movies to last a lifetime.

So What’s Next?

We can’t really tell you, our staff is hard at work, our legal team is also working on our own claims as well. For now, we will be keeping things close to our chest, as usual comments@grinthock.com is the best place to send us your comments.

grinthock.com missing posts

Due to some discussions between grinthock.com and third parties, we have removed a few posts until this situation has been resolved.

 I will update my readers shortly.

       For reasons we cannot explain at this time, those posts which I continue to receive more and more comments regarding (and thank you to my readers for your support) the situation, I have decided to disable those posts.

      Grinthock.com is proud to support the charities it does – privatly, and we will go out of our way to support those charities when ever we can be of assistance.
